Decor Using Candy
What’s celebrating Easter without some candy? Instead of eating all those chocolate bunnies, jelly beans, and marshmallow chicks, you can use them for decorations! I think one of the more versatile candies you can use for decorating are Jordan Almonds.

Jordan Almonds are almonds wrapped in a candy shell and you can find them in practically every color. As a young girl, I loved it when my grandmother returned from a wedding. You see, if you were a guest at an Italian-American wedding during the ’70s and ’80s, your wedding favor always included five white Jordan Almonds wrapped in tulle. The five almonds symbolize five wishes for the newly married couple: health, happiness, fertility, financial stability, and longevity.
The pastel-colored ones are my favorite and their egg-like shape is perfect for celebrating Easter. Here are some easy ways to incorporate Jordan Almonds into you Easter decor:
- pour some into bowls for a pop of color
- fill an apothecary jar (one of my favorite ways to decorate)
- place them in a birds nest and use as a place setting
- decorate cupcakes
- fill a teacup
If you are not fan of the taste of Jordan Almonds, simply use jelly beans instead!
Decor Using Easter Eggs
There are so many ways you can decorate hard-boiled eggs for Easter. You can use dye, decoupage, washi tape, markers, paint, really whatever! You can also buy eggs that are made of different materials such as ceramic, foam, and wood. Whatever type of eggs you choose, here are some ways you can use them for your decor:
- incorporate them into a wreath
- add them to a plate or bowl and place next to flowers
- scatter across the table
- place in egg cups and use as place settings
- use in an egg tray or ceramic basket as a display
Decor Using Signs
Another fun and easy way to decorate is with signs. Signs can be placed anywhere — on top of tables or hung up on doors and walls. I made these two signs using my Cricut Explore machine, some vinyl, and these easel-backed plaques:
If DIY is not your thing, you can find great, inexpensive Easter signs at your local craft store.
