Are you hosting a spring brunch, maybe to celebrate Easter or Mother’s Day? Here are some easy tablescape, menu, and beverage ideas that will allow you to host a stress-free Spring brunch!
Pick A Theme/Color Palette
Choosing a theme or color palette is a great first step because it allows you to set the stage for everything else. So, for Easter, I may choose a theme such as bunnies; for Mother’s Day, maybe I would like a garden theme.
Instead of a specific theme, you can choose a color palette. For example, when I think of spring, I always think of pastel colors. So for my upcoming Easter brunch, I decided to revolve everything around that color palette.
Spring Brunch Tablescape
I visited my local Tuesday Morning store and found this gorgeous plastic tableware and cutlery. They have a delicate, vintage quality to them that is perfect for a spring brunch! As you can see, I couldn’t decide between mint and pale pink so I had to buy both!
Note: For the record, if you have never been to Tuesday Morning, check them out! They really have great finds at great prices. If you do not live near Tuesday Morning, I was able to find this pink tableware online at Walmart.
Once I placed them on this pastel gingham tablecloth, I knew that I would alternate between the mint and the pink for each place setting. I am using these pretty colored champagne flutes and my everyday juice glasses to complete the table setting.
Finishing Touches
The theme all comes together with the right centerpieces and accessories. Read this post about some easy Easter decor ideas.
Salt and pepper shakers are a great inexpensive design element for your table. It’s practical too! Unfortunately, our cat knocked over my cute baby chick shaker you see in the pictures above so I had to get another set!
If you are feeling crafty, why not try napkin folding? These super cute bunny ears were very simple to make. Let me know in the comments below if you would like to read a future post about napkin folding.
Spring Brunch Menu Planning
The key to stress-free entertaining is planning ahead and serving a combination of homemade and store-bought.
Homemade Menu Items
- quiche or casserole
- frittata
- ham/bacon/sausage
- eggs
- yogurt parfaits
- muffins
Store-Bought Menu Items
- bagels
- danishes, muffins, scones
- fruit platter
Spring Brunch Drinks
Don’t forget to plan out what drinks you will be serving. Some suggestions are:
- water (sparkling and flat)
- fruit juice
- lemonade
- iced tea
- mocktails
- cocktails
- hot beverages
Set up a DIY beverage station and/or coffee bar and provide an assortment of teas. Be sure to set out any milk, creamer, sweeteners along with additional spoons and stirrers.
