I love learning about unique spots to visit near my home. Recently, my good friend told me about the Sunflower Festival at a local farm. Although I missed that festival last fall, I subscribed to their mailing list and read about their spring Tulip Festival!
Holland Ridge Farms
My husband and I took a drive to Holland Ridge Farms the other day and it was just spectacular! The farm is located at 86 Rues Road in Cream Ridge, New Jersey, just off exit 7A on the NJ Turnpike.
The tulip fields are planted on over 50 acres and I have never seen such a sea of color.
Each row was a different hue and there were varieties of tulips I had never seen before. Like this beauty:
In addition to enjoying the beautiful scenery, stop by the barns and watch the alpacas, goats, and this super playful young calf:
You can pick up a cute basket to hold your pick-your-own tulips for purchase.
There is also a picnic area next to a country bakery where you can sit and enjoy some delicious cupcakes and macaroons. Food trucks also visit on weekends.

New Jersey truly is the Garden State! Last summer, our family went on a fabulous vacation to Amsterdam. Enjoying these tulips resurrected our beautiful memories of that trip!
