Take A Walk On The Wild Side (With Animal Prints, That Is)

I used to think animal prints were only for the young or for the fashion-forward. Over the years I have come to appreciate how classic these prints really are! My favorite animal print by far is the leopard. Maybe it’s my preference for cats, but the classic leopard combination of black and brown really looks sophisticated. Depending on your personality, you can choose to wear it as the main event or you can wear it in smaller doses as an accent. I also think this color scheme looks great on everyone as it has both black for cool-toned people and gold/brown for warm-toned people! I actually don’t have many patterns in my closet. I mostly wear monochromatic outfits so, for me, leopard print accessories are the way to go. Here are some of my current faves (okay the sunglasses are technically tortoiseshell but I think they are pretty close to leopard):

Animal Prints for the Home

Animal prints can work with many decorating styles too! It’s easy to add a touch of leopard around your home. If an area rug is too much of a statement, try a blanket or throw pillow on a neutral-toned sofa or chair. Here are some of my favorite leopard print items for the home:
